Stark and bleak the mountains around me in the west are covered in a carpet of spruce and Scots pine; a dense black velvet coverage that envelops your senses especially when the dusk is bewitching and you can smell the depth of shadows.

I want the viewer to become lost in it mystery. As an artist I believe each painting that hangs in your home should bring you joy, that you should see something new in your painting every day. I love that this is a small piece, but asks those same questions; 'what do I see here?'

Could be purchased with its sister painting for a matching set and hang as a diptych.

This painting needs no frame and hangs directly on any wall.
