I grew up surrounded by rust and metal. Myself & my sister played hide & seek amidst old barrels & discarded trucks in a yard full of machinery. The rust only served to inspire, I have been fascinated by its alchemy and its color changing pattern over the years and have painted many images inspired by the transition of time on surfaces. This one, is inspired by an old boat; a cargo ship, its hull coloured by time & salt water.
