Stark and bleak, the mountains around me in the west of Ireland are covered in a carpet of spruce and Scots pine; a dense blue velvet coverage that envelops your senses especially when the dusk is bewitching and you can smell the depth of shadows and rain.
I want the viewer to become lost in it mystery. As an artist I believe each painting that hangs in your home should bring you joy, that you should see something new in your painting every day. I love that this is a small piece, but asks those same questions; 'what do I see here?'
